Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger identified the man as Henry Essick of Centerville.

Police and medics responded around 12:30 a.m. to the business at 3700 W. Third St. on a reported injury crash.

Authorities say the vehicle crashed into a wall on the side of the store after Essick reportedly suffered a heart attack.
In a 911 call obtained by this news organization, a woman who said she witnessed the crash told dispatchers that he was not breathing after he drove into a wall near AM PM Market.

“Breathe, sir breathe!” the woman yelled hysterically while talking to dispatchers.

A cause of death has not been determined at this time.

Dayton police are continuing to investigate the crash.
