DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — A 39-year-old man who is a member of the Ohio National Guard was convicted on several charges in Delaware County on Friday, according to our media partners WBNS-10 TV.

A jury found Steven Vicario guilty of two counts of rape, two counts of sexual battery and one count of tampering with evidence.

He was found not guilty on two additional counts of rape and sexual battery, WBNS-10 TV reports.
Vicario’s charges stem from two incidents, one on Oct. 13, 2022, and another on Nov. 5, 2023.
The incidents involved a minor, according to WBNS-10 TV.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office arrested Viario on April 19, 2024.
The Ohio National Guard said he was a lieutenant colonel, worked as a full-time federal technician and was a drilling Guardsman.
Vicario’s trial started on Feb. 4, but after three days of testimony from forensic scientists and doctors, the jurors made their decision.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
