Officials warn of misleading home warranty mailers in Montgomery County

Over the last few months, Action 9 has discovered several cases involving stolen mail in the Charlotte area.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Montgomery County Recorder Brandon McClain is warning the public of misleading mailers that have been sent to homeowners.

The recorder’s office said these mailers claim to be sent from “County Deed Records” and ask homeowners to purchase a home warranty from “Home Warranty Solutions.”

All communications from the Montgomery County Recorder’s Office are sent in a an envelope bearing the official county seal, according to a release.

The Montgomery County Recorder’s Office does not endorse or offer any home warranty programs, they added.
