BARBERTON — A person struck an Ohio officer who was investigating a possible robbery in the area on Friday afternoon.
A Barberton Police Officer was struck in front of Barberton Middle School on Newell Street around 2:30 p.m., according to our CBS news affiliate, WOIO.

The suspect was leaving the scene of a domestic dispute where a gun was brandished when striking the officer.
After striking the officer, the suspect allegedly continued to drive away.
The officer was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
No injuries were reported during the domestic incident.
Police are investigating the incident.
