The Poison singer canceled his Aug. 29 concert for medical reasons, the Rose Music Center said in a social media post.

TRENDING STORIES:

Doctors and medics determined after Michaels’ show in Georgia that he needed more rest and recovery from his recent surgeries, according to his website.

“We will be pulling Bret off the road for the time being. He wanted to attempt this show, but we feel there is a much-needed period of rest and slow recovery ahead, especially considering the heat and humidity during the summer months and the effect it can have on his blood sugar levels,” said Dr. Abby Borhan and Dr. Patel, Bret Michaels’ doctors.

The Rose Music Center said that refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

“If you purchased tickets at the Rose Music Center box office, you can bring your tickets to the box office during business hours to obtain your refund,” the amphitheater said.

Michaels will take the next several months off to recover.
