ODH: New partnership hopes to provide more rapid testing kits to Ohioans

COLUMBUS — Ohio Department of Health Director Bruce Vanderhoff announced a new partnership that hopes to make COVID-19 rapid tests more available to Ohioans.

Through Project Access COVID Test, the Rockefeller Foundation is making tests available in households that are traditionally underserved, according to a release.

Ohio’s initial allocation will be 175,000 tests made available through home delivery.

ODH said eligible communities were determined based on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendations and state data.

You can visit the Rockefeller Foundation’s website to see if your community is eligible.

“At a time when too many people cannot access COVID-19 testing, we are proud to bring together partners from across society to empower Americans with the support and information they need to keep themselves safe and healthy,” said Rajiv J. Shah, president of The Rockefeller Foundation.
