Col. Kent Kazmaier assumed command from Col. Dominic Fago during a ceremony on Sunday, according to a spokesperson.

His career spans over 30 years, starting with his first assignment at the 178th Wing where he served as an F-16 crew chief.

Kazmaier received his commission and earned his wings to operate the F-16C in 1998 and spent time at Hulman Field in Terre Haute, Indiana from 2000-2006 before returning to the 178th Wing as an instructor pilot until the unit converted to the MQ-1B, the spokesperson said.

He has served several roles within the wing, including the vice wing commander since 2021.
