New Carlisle motorcyclist in serious condition at hospital following crash

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on Ohio 235 in Fairborn Saturday night.

Crews were sent to the 3400 block of the highway around 6:50 p.m. on a report of a motorcycle crash, according to dispatchers at the Dayton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Motorcyclist Steven Jordan, of New Carlisle was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in serious condition after driving his motorcycle left of center and striking the side of a car.

Dispatchers said the driver of the car hit by Jordan was taken to Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek with minor injuries.

Drugs are not a suspected to have played a role in the crash, however an OSP investigation is still underway.

It is unknown if Jordan was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to dispatchers.
