Mackenzie Williams was in her home when the tree fell over.
“I was kind of trying to see, you know, if I could see anything, okay, had any lines fallen or anything,” she told News Center 7’s Malik Patterson.
She did not see power lines but noticed something else.
“I see the ground just lift up. And at first I was like, Oh my gosh, what is that like? I didn’t even realize what was happening,” said Williams.
She was shocked.
“The tree fell over, and it was big and loud, and you know, but it didn’t hit anything on the way down. So, it was kind of the best-case scenario, but still freaked me out,” said Williams.
They had moved away since they knew the tree was going to fall.
“had kind of a hole in the base, and we have, like, another giant hole in our yard that just keeps getting bigger,” said Williams.
They said that the City of Bellbrook helped push the tree back onto their property.
They are waiting for a crew to come by and chop it up.
Williams said that the kids will not be happy.
“It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to them. They’re mad at us for having it removed,” she said.
News Center 7 will continue to update this story.
