XENIA — More than 25,000 lights programmed to Christmas music twinkle at Xenia’s annual Hometown Christmas celebration in Shawnee Park Saturday night.

Held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the event features an ugly sweater 5K, a gingerbread house decorating contest, parade and visit from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus.

This year’s light display was produced and donated by Xenia Police Chief Randy Person.

“We’re very proud in having been able to do it for the community,” Person said Saturday night.
