Montgomery County Treasurer Russ Joseph announced on Monday that he will be stepping down from his role as County Treasurer to begin a new job outside of local government.
Joseph has served as Treasurer of the Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office for the last two years, where he prioritized improving customer service for Montgomery County taxpayers.
“It has been the honor of my life to serve the residents of Montgomery County as their Treasurer. I am so proud of all the things my staff and I have accomplished during my tenure to help improve customer service and provide additional revenue for our local communities and service agencies,” said Joseph.
Joseph’s last day in office will be Sunday, April 11th, 2021.
The Montgomery County Commission will appoint an interim Treasurer beginning April 12, 2021, according to a media release.
