Montgomery County receives financing to address aging waterlines

KETTERING — Montgomery County has received financing from the state to help improve wastewater and drinking water.

The Ohio Development Authority awarded a total of $13.7 million through low-interest loans to Ohio communities to help them improve their water.

Montgomery County received $275, 957 at an interest rate of 3.27 percent for 20 years for the construction of 2,700 feet of waterline along Dell Ridge Drive, Scrubb Drive and Brookdale Avenue in Kettering, according to a release.

This will replace aging waterlines, the release states.

Information about when construction will begin or is expected to be completed was not included in the release.
