Mercer County hosts Active Shooter Response Training

MERCER COUNTY — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is hosting Active Shooter Response Training today.

The training starts at 8 a.m. and will be presented by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

The public may notice an increased police presence in the area of the Mercer County Home, according to a news release from the Mercer County Sheriffs office.

This will be the sixth year the sheriff’s office has hosted an Active Shooter Response Training session in Mercer County.

The area will be posted with training warning notices and will be closed off to the public, according to the release.
