DAYTON — The Dayton Police Department announced the death of its longest serving K9, Phantom.
“We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Phantom,” the department said in a tweet.
Phantom was on duty with his handler, Officer R. Cleaver, when he unexpectedly died.

The 9-year-old K9 was with Dayton police for seven years.
