UPDATE: Missing Logan County teen safely located

WEST LIBERTY — UPDATE @ 8:25 a.m. (Nov. 18):

A missing 14-year-old girl Logan County girl has been located and is safe, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Kacy Andre was found around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in a wooded area in the Jefferson Twp. area of Logan County, a sheriff’s office official said in an emailed statement.

She was treated for some minor cuts and scrapes and was reunited with her family.

Additional details were not released.

FIRST REPORT (Nov. 17):

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a missing teenager.

According to the sheriff’s office, Kacy Andre, 14, was last seen at her family’s home in West Liberty. She was reported missing around noon on Wednesday,

Andre is a biracial female. Dispatchers said she is 5′1″ and approximately 120 lbs. She has brown hair and browns eyes. The sheriff’s office said she was last seen wearing a red top and blue pants.

Police warned residents of increased law enforcement presence in West Liberty, including the use of an Ohio State Highway Patrol helicopter, on social media.
