GREENE COUNTY — The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of one of their K9s.

The sheriff’s office announced on Thursday that K9 Auco passed away last month.

Auco was certified as a dual-purpose K9 and was used in criminal apprehension and narcotics detection.
He had been paired with Deputy Jamie Coe since October 2017.
“Auco was not only a member of the Sheriff’s Office but a family member. He enjoyed working, playing, belly rubs and treats,” the sheriff’s office shared on social media. “He will be missed!”
