KETTERING — Local police department to host second Cram the Cruiser event on Friday.
Kicking off the tax-free weekend, the Kettering Police Department said in a social media post that they are looking for donations to help students who need school supplies.

The event will be held on Friday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Meijer.
School staff members will be on site at the event with school supply lists.
Those who wish to participate can shop at Meijer for donations during the event or are welcome to bring pre-bought items.
