SPRINGFIELD — A female is hurt after a shooting in Springfield on Thursday, according to a Springfield police lieutenant.

The shooting was reported in the 9000 block of James Street around 8:17 p.m.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the lieutenant added.
