UPDATE @ 6:52 p.m.:
The driver and passenger have been taken to hospitals after their SUV rolled when the driver apparently over-corrected in the 2100 block of state Route 49 and continued off the roadway, Darke County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Young said.
The driver has been taken to Wayne Healthcare. The passenger, who was pinned underneath the vehicle, has been taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, Deputy Young said. Their conditions are not known, he said.
The SUV was headed south when it left the right side of the road. That’s when the driver apparently over-corrected, sending the vehicle off the left side of the road, Young said.
Deputies expect to have the road closed at least another hour because of the crash investigation.
