Banshee, the new roller coaster at Kings Island, is running again after stopping for reasons that have not been explained.

The coaster was reported to be stuck on the lift hill with riders on board just before 7:30 p.m., according to a WHIO employee on scene.

The ride, billed as the world's longest inverted coaster, opened this year in the place of the dismantled Son of Beast.

This marks at least the second time in a week a ride at the park in Mason has experienced an apparent problem.

On Saturday, fire crews responded to the Flight of Fear ride for the second time this month on reports of smoke coming from the ride.

We will continue to update this story as details become available.
