Jeff Schmitt Auto Group donates $10K to Humane Society

A donation was given Monday to help the animals at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

The Jeff Schmitt Auto Group presented the Humane Society with a $10,000 check in thanks for their campaign that ran from Jan. 1 through Feb. 28, according to a release.

The campaign “You Drive, They Thrive” was a two-month long campaign where people could go into any of Jeff Schmitt Auto Group’s seven dealerships and test drive a car.

For each car test driven, they’d donate $50 to the animals, the release stated. If a person purchased a car and financed it through Ally, they’d donate an additional $50.

“We are proud to have partnered with Jeff Auto Schmitt Auto Group to make such a huge impact,” said Brian Weltge, President and CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton. “We solely rely on donations to fund all of our programs and services, so working with Jeff Schmitt Auto Group through this campaign is helping to provide medical care, nourishing food and ultimately forever homes to so many homeless animals in the Miami Valley.”
