Master Sgt. Lyndell Logan has served 20 years and is still on active duty in the U.S. Air Force.

He currently serves as an instructor at Wright Patterson Air Force Base teaching Air Force public health fundamentals to all incoming public health technicians graduating basic training.

Sgt. Logan told News Center 7 his wife submitted him for the chance to get a new roof and is grateful for one less thing to stress over.

“Amongst all the things you have to juggle, it’s great to not to have to juggle a new roof,” he said. “So, it’s amazing.”

Dry Tech Exteriors provided the new roof to a house at the 390 block of Merrick Drive.

“To have a roof on his home that is over 40 years old, it’s actually original to the home,” said Allie Hosler, Dry Tech Exteriors. “He just needs a better roof over his head so we said Dry Tech Exteriors will take care of it for ya.”

His wife submitted her husband because she knew he would not submit himself for something like this, Sgt. Logan said.

The program has provided over 375 military members with new roofs since its inception in 2016.
