‘I’ll definitely never have a better Mother’s Day;’ Area mom celebrates Mother’s Day with newborn

CENTERVILLE — One Miami Valley couple got a Mother’s Day surprise this year they said they will cherish forever.

Michael Macon Barwick III was born at 12:03 p.m. Sunday.

“His due date was May 19th so we were kind of hoping he would come early but not expecting him to come early,” his mother Victoria Bowman said.

Not only did Michael come early he was born on Mother’s day.

Victoria gets to celebrate the holiday with a new title — Mom.

“I actually have a baby, it doesn’t really settle in until you really see him,” Victoria said just hours after giving birth.

Victoria said she will never have a mother’s day better than this.

Michael got his name from his father.

“It’s been tradition in my family to name the first boy Michael and to continue it, it’s very exciting I get to share that with my son,” his father, also named Michael, said.

Both parents were beaming with happiness and said they can’t wait to bring little Michael home.

“I played football so I’m hoping maybe I can pass that tradition on to him as well you know get to see him play some type of sport, but whatever he does just being there to support and be his number one fan,” his father said.
