HARRISON TOWNSHIP — A dad just wants to hold his daughter in his arms again.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said 14-year-old Madison Thompson has been missing since Sunday, and she could be in danger.
Her father spoke with News Center 7′s Brandon Lewis and said this has been a tough time for him.
“As a parent, you try to do the best for your children and for them to come up missing is, is hard. It really is hard,” Alfred Pierce Jr., Thompon’s father said.
He said it has been difficult not having any idea where his daughter could be.
“I wouldn’t wish that on nobody, so it’s a very tough feeling. It’s just pain like you’re at a funeral, like you’ve lost a loved one and that’s how I’ve been feeling,” Pierce said.

Pierce said when he checked on his daughter Sunday evening her bedroom door was locked.
When he eventually got in, the window was open and Thompson was gone.
He said his daughter has struggled with mental health issues this year and had a breakdown the day before she disappeared.
Thompson’s first year of high school hasn’t been easy, her father said.
“She was homeschooled for a while, then getting into the environment and going into a regular public high school might have been maybe too much...so I believe it might have affected her with her judgment because a lot of things were new to her,” Pierce said.
Pierce suspects Thompson may have been enticed to leave home by someone else.
He shared footage from his neighbor’s surveillance camera that he believes shows a person standing outside her bedroom around the time she went missing.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said detectives have been working the case to find Thompson and are asking to the public to help.
“I’m just praying and hope that anybody sees her or knows her and wherever she’s at, that they just bring my baby home. I just want my daughter home,” Pierce said.
Pierce stressed the importance of taking care of your mental health.
