GREENON, Clark County — Greenon Local School officials held a final meeting tonight to discuss with the community plans for an attempt to replace aging school buildings.
School officials are trying to decide whether it should try to build one large school on the current Indian Valley site to accommodate all students or try to build two schools, a K-6 and a junior high and high school.
A raise of hands at the end of the meeting indicated large support for the one school option. It will cost the locals about $29.5 million. A two building option will cost locals $32.8 million.
Officials have yet to make a decision on what they will put on the May, 2017 ballot. But will have to make that final determination before Nov. 11 to ensure state aid.
