NORTHRIDGE — UPDATE @ 2:23 a.m.
A garage was completely destroyed in a suspicious Sunday morning fire in Northridge, according to fire crews at the scene.
When firefighters arrived to the fire in the 2700 block of Oneida Avenue the garage was fully engulfed in flames and quickly burned to the ground.
A fire chief says firefighters saw an unknown number of people running from the fire when they arrived.
Multiple power lines were damaged in the fire as were small portions of the house due to the heat.
Firefighters said the homeowner has reported strangers damaging his property in the past.
With the fire out and damages to be assessed, firefighters said an investigation to determine a cause is underway.

Firefighters are battling a fully engulfed fire in Northridge Sunday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the 2700 block of Oneida Avenue around 1:15 a.m. on a report of a garage fire.
Initial reports indicated a garage is on fire and nearby power lines have also caught flame.
