A Franklin apartment fire displaced numerous families on Sunday.
The fire occurred at Wyndemere Apartments at around 11 p.m.
According to City of Franklin Division of Fire EMS Chief Jonathan Westendorf, a segment of the single story unit was heavily smoking with occupants inside when crews arrived.
Fire and police crews responded to the scene and immediately began to evacuate the occupants.
Crews were able spray water and knock down the body of the fire and remaining hot spots.
No injures were reported. All occupants were accounted for.
About five families were displaced in total. They will be relocated with assistance from the American Red Cross.
An investigation has been launched to find the cause of the fire.
