‘Flames coming out of the ceiling;’ Crews respond to a fire on S Main St.

SAINT MARYS — Crews responded to a structure fire on South Main Street early Wednesday morning.

The St. Marys Fire Department was called to the 700 block of South Main Street at approximately 5:50 a.m., dispatch confirmed to News Center 7.

A responder said “small flames” were “coming out of the ceiling,” according to initial reports.

Crews are currently still at the scene fighting the fire.

Dispatch could not provide any information as to whether anyone was injured during this incident. However, residents did evacuate the building, dispatch stated.
