DAYTON — Firefighters rescued two dogs from the Great Miami River in Dayton Saturday afternoon, according to Dayton Police & Fire Facebook page.

Dayton Fire Department crews were called to the area of W Third Street and S Edwin C Moses Boulevard on reports of dogs in the river around noon.

Initial reports indicate that firefighters spotted two dogs in the water when they arrived on scene.
Fire crews deployed a boat and pulled the two dogs from the ice and water.
No other injuries were reported during this incident.
