Fairborn offering transportation for students to Celebration of Life for student killed in crash

FAIRBORN — Fairborn City Schools Transportation will provide transportation for students who wish to attend the Celebration of Life in honor of the 17-year-old student killed in a crash last week.

Lily Clingner was killed in a crash on Dec. 16 in the area of Dayton-Xenia Road and Trebein Road.

Clingner was an honor roll student and a member of the cross country team.

A Celebration of Life is set for Dec. 27 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Dayton FOP on Powell Road.

Transportation will load between 4 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. in the front parking lot at Fairborn High School and will leave between 4:15 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. It will leave the FOP around 6:30 p.m. and will return to the high school around 7 p.m.

A counselor will ride the bus to and from the Celebration of Life. Students will need to sign in when the bus loads and will need to check in with the counselor before leaving the service to return to the high school.
