Dog rescued from banks of Wolf Creek in Trotwood finds new home

TROTWOOD — The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center said a dog rescued from the banks of Wolf Creek in Trotwood a couple weeks ago has found a new home.

Rescuing the dog was no easy task for animal control officers, the resource center said.

“The closest bank was too steep to allow access, and recent rainfall had caused the water levels to rise, making it unsafe to cross the creek and rescue the dog,” the Animal Resource Center said. “our officers contacted our friends at the City of Trotwood Fire Department. Deputy Chief Barnett and Ladder Company 73 quickly came to the rescue and with the use of their raft, we were able to safely cross the creek and rescue our furry friend.”

The organization posted on Facebook that the dog, which was known by the name “Jane” has been adopted and is now in a new home.
