Do you have a lot of Styrofoam Waste? Local organizations to hold recycling event at Welcome Stadium Saturday

DAYTON — Those who have been noticing a lot of Styrofoam waste piling up in their homes can take it to a recycling event in Dayton Saturday.

Montgomery County Environmental Services is collaborating with the city of Dayton and Eco Development to organize a regional Styrofoam recycling event.

Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., anyone can bring Styrofoam to Welcome Stadium on Edwin C Moses Boulevard in Dayton.

Volunteers at the event will unload the vehicles and donors do not need to leave their vehicles.

Organizers ask that donors do not bring used food containers.

Eco Development will transport the collection to its facility in Mason, where the material will be processed and recycled into products like surfboards, picture frames and polystyrene, a press release stated.
