Dayton residents made 106,855 calls in 2022, equating to around 294 calls per day, a Dayton Police and Fire spokesperson stated in a Facebook post.

Nearly 8,200 of the 106,855 calls were made in December, the spokesperson continued.

Dayton’s West District in particular made the most calls with about 3,900 calls, around 3,400 more than the Central District and approximately 240 more than the East District.

Officials did not explain why the West District placed more calls than the other districts.

Dayton’s Central District made the least number of calls throughout December with a total of around 550.

“Our officers are here to keep you safe and here when you need us,” the spokesperson stated.
