DAYTON — Teaven Lee Curtiss, 51, of Dayton, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the rape of a 4-year-old.
The victim told her mother that Curtiss had sexually assaulted her prompting an investigation.

It was found that the child was sexually abused while living with Curtiss between November 2017 and October 2018.
Curtiss was indicted on June 24, 2020, for one count of rape of a child under 10 and one count of gross sexual imposition of a child under 13.
After a four day trial, the jury found Curtiss guilty on Dec. 10, 2020.
He will serve life in prison without the possibility of parole for the rape count plus an additional and consecutive five years in prison for the gross sexual imposition count.
