Commuters who use Main Street should plan to take alternate routes Monday to and from downtown Dayton as roadway workers close a section of Main Street.
Southbound Main Street from Stout Street to Wyoming Street will be closed to traffic 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m.
The closure will accommodate construction work at the intersection of Main and Apple streets. A detour will be marked,according to the city.
Northbound traffic on Main Street will be maintained, but delays are expected.
Drivers should use alternate routes to and from downtown, including Patterson Boulevard and Warren Street.
