Dayton Police Sergeant Creigee S. Coleman told News Center 7 at the scene that this appeared to stem from an argument that took place in the parking lot.
Witnesses told police that two people, including a woman in a vehicle, were arguing when someone from inside the store came out and joined the argument.
“At that point, the original person she was arguing with produced a weapon and started firing in broad daylight,” Coleman said.
There was no one on the scene with gunshot injuries, but police were going to check with local hospitals to see if anyone was brought in by a private vehicle.
Two people were detained and taken in for questioning, but they have not been arrested at this time.
Three weapons were recovered at the scene.
This is under investigation by the Dayton Police Department’s Violent Offenders Unit.
