DAYTON — Following a cancellation of their original opponent for Tuesday’s game, the Dayton Flyers and Atlantic 10 Conference announced a schedule change and new opponent for the Flyers.
Rather than playing the UMass Minnutemen in Amherst, the Flyers will face Virginia Commonwealth, with the game tipping off at 5 p.m. The game will air live on 1290 and 95.7 WHIO and televised by CBS Sports Network.
Dayton was originally scheduled to travel to Amherst, Massachusetts to play UMass at 7 p.m. However all UMass athletics were paused after a rise in campus COVID-19 cases when the university raised it’s COVID-19 Risk Level from “Elevated” to “High.”
Additionally, the game between Dayton and VCU, scheduled for March 3rd at UD Arena, will still take place.
