DAYTON — A Dayton Dragons player crossed over to the major leagues and stood firm as the 136th Dragons player to achieve the feat.

Ricky Karcher was a former Dayton Dragons player who was signed by the Cincinnati Reds to play for the major leagues in association with MLB, according to a spokesperson for the Dayton Dragons.

Karcher made his major league debut Tuesday evening against the Kansas City Royals, winning the encounter 5-4.

His debut made him the 136th Dragons player to make it to the big leagues, the spokesperson confirmed.

Dayton Dragons is a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, a major league team.
