SUV knocks over light pole in possible OVI crash near UD Arena

DAYTON — Emergency crews are responding to a reported crash at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard and Arena Park Drive near University of Dayton Arena.

Our crew on scene reported that an SUV hit a light pole, knocking it over while taking a wheel off the vehicle and leaving debris in the road.

Initial reports indicated that the driver may have been under the influence while driving, and our crew saw officers put the driver in handcuffs, then into the back of a police cruiser.

Officers have cleared the scene.
