Driver thrown from vehicle in rollover crash on SR 4 in Greene County

BATH TWP., Greene County — A driver suffered serious injuries after a rollover crash on state Route 4 in Greene County early Tuesday morning, according to state troopers.

The crash was reported in Bath Twp. on the southbound lanes of state Route 4 near Valley Street just before 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver, who was not identified, was thrown from the vehicle in the crash, state troopers said. They were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, investigators said.

A preliminary investigation found the silver Chevrolet went off the right side of the road and overturned. The driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, state troopers said.

Investigators are working to determine factors that led to the crash including wet roads that might have been a contributing factor.
