DAYTON — A 60-year-old man found dead earlier this month in his Dayton home has been identified.
Steven Blake was identified by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office as the man found dead in the 500 block of Scranton Street in the early morning hours of April 2.
Dayton officers were called to the scene after receiving a 911 call from a neighbor who said they were woken up by their neighbor asking for an ambulance.

“He said that somebody attacked him and tried to kill him, and put a cord around his neck,” the 911 caller said.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Blake dead and a 59-year-old man injured.
A spokesperson for Dayton Police Department confirmed Blake’s death was being investigated as a homicide.
The coroner’s office has not released Blake’s cause of death.
