DAYTON — A 16-year-old was found dead on Westwood Avenue after a reported shooting Monday night.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office identified the teen as Da’Monta Meals, 16, of Westwood Avenue.
The cause and manner of death has not been determined, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent E. Harshbarger.
Police responded to the 800 block of Westwood Avenue around 11:15 p.m. and found the male in the street with a gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives are still investigating the incident and working to learn what happened before the shooting took place.
