Coronavirus: Pop-up testing returns to Montgomery County this weekend

DAYTON — Five Rivers Health Centers will conduct a free pop-up testing site at its location on Philadelphia Drive this Saturday.

The site is being set up in conjunction with the Governor’s COVID-19 Minority Health Strike Force, the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio National Guard.

The testing will be free to anyone 10 years of age or older from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. No doctor’s note is needed.

The address of the test site is 2261 Philadelphia Drive and all who participate must wear a face mask. Five Rivers will provide masks to those that don’t have them.

Results from this test site will take approximately seven days to come back.

“This testing may not be appropriate for individuals needing fast, return-to-work results, or those currently experiencing COVID-related symptoms,” Five Rivers said in a statement. “Individuals currently experiencing symptoms should contact their primary care provider immediately to be assessed to determine the appropriate testing.”

People wishing to be tested are asked to bring their IDs. Pre-registrations are encouraged and can be completed prior to Friday at fiverivershealthcenters.org.
