DETAILED FORECAST:

TONIGHT: Clouds return overnight with temperatures falling a bit below freezing, according to Storm Center 7 meteorologist Austin Chaney. Our next weather maker arrives close to daybreak with a few passing flurries possible.

TOMORROW: A few flurries around in the morning, but most of the Miami Valley will be dry, but cold with temperatures in the 30s. By mid-morning, through early afternoon there will be a better chance for some passing rain or mix showers with temperatures climbing to a high of around 40 degrees.

Chilly rain showers will switch to light snow showers into the evening before ending or tapering to light flurries. This may cause a few slick spots for Tuesday night as temperatures fall to a low near freezing.

WEDNESDAY: On-and-off flurries or light snow showers will be possible at any point during the day Wednesday, otherwise cloudy, blustery and cold. Temperatures hold in the 30s throughout the day.

A quick-moving disturbance will bring a batch of steadier, but light snow showers to the Miami Valley Wednesday night. A quick coating to a half inch of snow is possible by Thursday morning. This may be the greatest risk for slippery roads for drivers heading out Thursday morning.

THURSDAY: A cold morning with some light snow showers possible. Drivers should watch for slick spots on the roads. Any snow or flurries should end by the afternoon. Highs on Thursday reach the middle 30s.

FRIDAY: Bitter old morning in the low 20s. Highs only reach the upper 20s but stay dry with partly cloudy skies.

SATURDAY: Waking up in the teens! Highs in the middle 30s.

SUNDAY: Mainly clear and cold. Highs in the middle 30s.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny and cold with a high in the middle 30s again.
