Cinco de Mayo meteor shower, Saturn both visible this weekend

The Eta Aquariids will be peaking this weekend. The morning of Cinco de Mayo is your best chance to try and find a few meteors, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.

This meteor shower is much better for the Southern Hemisphere with the radiant point being Aquarius. Look southeast before sunrise Saturday because a handful of meteors might still be visible in the Miami Valley even with the bright moon.

One feature in the sky that will be easy to find is the planet Saturn. Saturn shines bright very close to the moon in the southern sky Saturday and Sunday before dawn. Sunday, you might also see the faint planet Mars next to the moon as well.
