Cheryl McHenry, WHIO-TV anchor/reporter, is one of the newest members of the Dayton Area Broadcaster's Hall of Fame.
She and seven others were inducted Thursday night as the organization hosted its Sixth Bi-annual Induction Gala and 10 Years Inception Celebration at the Dayton Art Institute.
McHenry, one of the most recognizable anchors in the Dayton community, has been a Channel 7 reporter since 1981.
Among her many awards, Cheryl has been honored as Best Anchor by the Associated Press and already is a member of the Radio/TV Broadcasters Hall of Fame of Ohio. She won two Emmy Awards in July for her work as a journalist.
McHenry, as part of her duties these days, is responsible for "Miami Valley's Most Wanted," a weekly part of News Center 7's 5 p.m. broadcast for many years.

* Jim Johnson, WDAO radio president and general manager;
* George Wymer, formerly of WING radio/WKEF-TV.
The Honorable Bill C. Littlejohn, retired Dayton Municipal Court judge, was named the Community Service Award recipient.
