UPDATE: Boil advisory issued for some Jefferson Twp. residents has been lifted

JEFFERSON TWP. — UPDATE @ 10:20 a.m. (June 10):

The boil advisory issued Monday for some Jefferson Twp. residents was lifted Wednesday morning, according to the Jefferson Regional Water Authority.


FIRST REPORT (June 8):

A boil advisory has been issued for a number of Jefferson Twp. residents until further notice.

About 783 customers are currently affected, according the Jefferson Regional Water Authority.

Customer accounts are sectioned into zones and each zone is further sectioned by book numbers.

In order to see if your home is included in the boil advisory, customers are instructed to check their bill to see if they fall within book nine through 16 on their account.

Jefferson Regional Water Authority says if you are under the boil advisory, you must boil your water before drinking, cooking or bathing.
