Bengals legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson joins lineup for Logan Wilson’s Celebrity Softball Game

DAYTON — Bengals legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson will be taking the field in Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson’s upcoming celebrity softball game at Day Air Ballpark.

The Dayton Dragons took to social media Sunday afternoon to announce that Johnson has committed to playing in the game, scheduled for Wednesday.

Johnson joins a list of current and former Bengals participating in the game, which is meant to act as a team builder for the 2022 AFC Champions before the break for training camp. Some of the others scheduled to take the field include head coach Zac Taylor, defensive end Sam Hubbard, and linebacker Germaine Pratt.

The game will also feature a fundraising initiative for “The Brooks Joshua Anderson Foundation,” a Sudden Infant Death Syndrome research program and scholarship fund Wilson has worked closely with.

The event will feature a home run derby at 6 p.m., followed by the celebrity softball game at 7:30 p.m.
