1 arrested in connection to reported Dayton kidnapping

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 7 a.m: Police have arrested a man in connection to a late-Wednesday night kidnapping reported in Dayton.

James T. Walton, 33, is in Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of kidnapping and domestic violence charges, according to the jail site.

Area police issued a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) for Walton and the gray Chevrolet van he was believed to be driving that was reportedly used in the kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman from a BP gas station on West Third Street.

The woman was located, according to officials.

INITIAL REPORT

A BOLO (Be On The Lookout) has been issued to area police for an older model gray Chevrolet van believed to be driven by a suspect involved in a reported kidnapping that occurred in Dayton Wednesday night.

According to a police broadcast, authorities are being told to look for a 1997 gray Chevy van being driven by a 33-year-old man.

The alleged suspect is wanted in connection to a kidnapping that occurred in Dayton where a 24-year-old woman was reportedly taken around 11:25 p.m. from a BP gas station on West Third Street, officials say.

Dayton police confirm the woman has been located, but the suspect is still at large.
