24-year-old killed, one taken to hospital after motorcycle crash in Middletown Wednesday evening

MIDDLETOWN — 24-year-old, Dustin J. Jackson from Middletown died after being hit by a car while driving a motorcycle in Middletown Wednesday evening.

The crash happened at the cross of University Boulevard and Woodlawn Avenue at 7:42 p.m.

Ohio State Highway Patrol determined that a Hyundai Elantra driven by Juan N. Pinales, 26, from Middletown, attempted to make a left turn onto Woodlawn Ave. and hit the motorcyclist.

Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene and Pinales was treated for minor injuries.

Chayneth Febus, 24, from Rhode Island was a passenger of Pinales.

Febus sustained serious injuries and was taken to Atrium Hospital by Middletown EMS.

OSHP says Jackson was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.

Both Pinales and Febus were not wearing seatbelts.

It’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in this crash.

The Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says this crash is still under investigation.
